Why Us?

Please let me introduce Bau, a Hmong villager and our local guide when visiting Sapa in the North of Vietnam.

I was touched by her sharing what lives are like for the local community, especially young females not yet completing their high school studies but already giving birth at 14 years old. She also informed us that the local village youth don't have the opportunity to consider a university or higher education studies due to the lack of financial resources, their lifestyle is focussed on family and the village, just producing enough rice for themselves and not enough to sell for an income.

For every booking made, I will be raising funds for the village community. Depending upon the amount raised we may buy computers, resources for schools, food for local families, blankets for warmth or even machinery to help them become more efficient with the land being farmed.

Alternatively we are having discussions with a locally based social enterprise who has advised that $1,200 will provide an opportunity for a regional villager to improve their future employment opportunities. Over 6 months they will be provided with accommodation, transportation, food, English lessons and teaching resources.

Starting our trip from Hanoi and finishing in Ho Chi Minh City as a private tour.

Destinations: Hanoi – Sa Pa – Ninh Binh – Ha Long Bay – Da Nang – Hoi An – Ho Chi Minh City Duration: 14 days – 13 nights Transportation used: Plane, train, private vehicle, cruise and boats.

Once I received the itinerary, I obtained a quote from a local agent here in Australia where they provided a quote for two people of AUD$4,100 for a 14 day itinerary which excluded the following (price of four domestic flights, two visa applications and private car transfers to and from our tour destinations).

Our price was US$2,500 (equivalent to approximately AUD$3,750) for the 14 day itinerary which 'INCLUDEDall domestic flights, visa applications, private car transfers and English speaking guide for all tours.

We also caught up with friends recently who also travelled to Vietnam for a similar duration but spent a ‘LOT’ of time (days) researching, comparing and booking online but ‘DID NOT’ travel or see as many tour options as our itinerary. They estimate spending over AUD$4,000 per person.

Thanks for reading,

“Lily went above and beyond with their service to make sure we were always happy. It was private and personalised to what we wanted to experience in Vietnam. Local support made it so easy to change the program when we wanted a break.
